Then it’s on to South Korea’s capital, Seoul, for matches against a K League All Stars XI and Atletico Madrid on Wednesday 5 and Sunday 9 August respectively, both at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

First up though its that mouth watering encounter with the Italian Serie A champions in what will mark our first outing ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Find out all the important pre-match information, including how to follow the action live, below…

Opposing manager - Christian Chivu

A former Inter Milan playing legend and vastly experienced Romanian defender, Chivu was appointed Inter manager last summer and proceeded to oversee a stunning first season at the helm.

He guided the Italian giants to a superb domestic double of both winning the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia for good measure.

Chivu began his coaching career working with a succession of Inter’s youth sides before then taking charge at Parma for a brief spell before his subsequent appointment with the Milan side.

Previous meeting

City are no strangers to the Italian side.

Our most famous meeting is, of course, was in the 2023 UEFA Champions League final where Rodri’s second half strike sealed a 1-0 win to secure both a first-ever European Cup and the Treble.

The most recent clash with the Italians came in a UEFA Champions League phase meeting at the Etihad in September of 2024.

On that occasion an entertaining clash finished goalless.
