Find out who the scout is backing to influence Fantasy Premier League proceedings before City’s trip to Bournemouth.

Pep Guardiola’s side travel to the Vitality Stadium on Saturday 25 February (17:30 UK) looking to return to winning ways following consecutive 1-1 draws with Nottingham Forest (Premier League) and RB Leipzig (UEFA Champions League) in our previous two outings.

Last time out in the league at the City Ground, despite dominating proceedings, we had to settle for a share of the spoils as Chris Wood’s late strike cancelled out Bernardo Silva’s magnificent first-half effort.

And three points is far from guaranteed against a buoyant Cherries side who sealed a crucial 1-0 win away at Wolves last weekend.

Marcus Tavernier’s strike shortly after the interval was enough to seal three precious points which saw Gary O’Neil’s side climb out of the relegation zone.

Last time we faced Bournemouth, City secured a strong 4-0 victory at the Etihad Stadium thanks to goals from Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden and a Jefferson Lerma own goal.

There’s certainly lots for FPL bosses to think about before Friday 24 February’s 18:30 (UK) deadline.

Learn who the scout is leaning on this weekend below…

CITY STAR

Ruben Dias (£5.9m) offers strong potential at both ends of the pitch in Fantasy Premier League as City visit Bournemouth this weekend.

The centre-back has recently returned to the starting XI after recovering from injury.

Dias has recorded three shots in the box in the last two Gameweeks, placing him second among all defenders in Fantasy.

That suggests he will boast a major aerial threat from free-kicks and corners against the Cherries.

Bournemouth have struggled to defend such situations this season, conceding a league-high 74 headers.

The hosts’ toils in attack also looks encouraging for a Man City clean sheet on Saturday evening.

They have scored just three goals in their eight matches since the season resumed.

ONE TO WATCH

Dominic Solanke (£5.5m) will, nonetheless, be Bournemouth’s main threat.

The forward has been involved in nine goals this season, scoring three and assisting a further six.

DIFFERENTIALS

Elsewhere, Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez (£8.7m) and Everton’s James Tarkowski (£4.4m) both have a Double Gameweek 25 to thrive as differentials.

Nunez has scored in each of his last two in all competitions ahead of clashes with Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Tarkowski faces Aston Villa and Arsenal on the back of a goal and two clean sheets in three appearances for Sean Dyche’s Toffees.
