The 20-year-old will link up with the Owls once more following his initial loan spell for the latter half of the 2025/26 campaign which saw him total 20 appearances.
Heskey’s other senior experience includes his first-team City debut in our 2-0 triumph over Huddersfield in the Carabao Cup last term – a moment he worked towards since he signed for the Club at Under-9s.
And that day was made extra special for the boyhood Blue as he made his debut alongside his younger brother Reigan.
Just before his first outing for the Pep Guardiola’s team, Heskey impressed once again in the heart of the EDS engine room in his 11 appearances in all competitions for Ben Wilkinson’s side at the start of 2025/26.
It was his second season competing in the Premier League 2. In 2024/25, he helped the side lift the league title after 32 appearances in all competitions.
It wasn’t his first experience of silverware with the Academy. In the campaign prior, Heskey scored in City’s 4-0 FA Youth Cup final victory over Leeds United at the Etihad to help us lift the trophy for a fourth time in the Club’s history. Â
Just after his Carabao Cup debut, Heskey then joined Sheffield Wednesday.
Despite the Owls’ relegation to League One, Heskey played an impressive 1,714 minutes in his 20 Championship appearances as he became an instant regular in the squad in which he played in various roles throughout midfield.
Now, he’ll be looking to use his work rate, versatility, ability to read play and impressive passing for Sheffield Wednesday once again.
