Olivier Ntcham continues to hog the Loan Watch limelight with another decisive contribution in favour of Genoa this weekend.

The French powerhouse is thriving in the competitive environment of Serie A football and is busy making a name for himself in Italy.

It was his well-timed assist that handed Genoa a last gasp winner against Chievo – an especially impressive victory given his side were forced to play with ten men for the last 35 minutes.

With the game locked at 2-2, Olivier got hold of the ball on the left hand side, rode a challenge, continued his run and picked out a perfect ball for Tachtsidis to convert from just outside the box.

@DrewMFarmer Check out Ntcham's assist, what a pure talent!!

That win sends Genoa up to 12th with a trip to struggling Empoli up next.

Elsewhere and it was a fantastic weekend for Godsway Donyoh in Sweden, who scored as part of Falkenberg’s 6-0 thrashing of basement club Atvidaberg.

It was a much needed fillip for Donyoh’s loan club, who are themselves battling relegation from the Allsvenskan with games now running out in the Scandinavian season.

However, it was a mixed week for other City loanees across multiple continents.

In the Netherlands, Jack Byrne played the last 22 minutes of SC Cambuur’s 1-1 draw with AZ Alkmaar.

Cambuur are now just three points off the bottom and without a league win to their name this term. That’s no reflection on City’s young Irish midfielder however, who continues to impress fans in the Eredivisie with his committed displays.

@Jackb_8 Thanks for saving the game tonight! You made really the difference on the midfield #camaz

Meanwhile, Thomas Agyepong came off the bench after 65 minutes to help FC Twente grab a 1-0 win against NEC in the same division.

It was the Ghanaian’s second appearance for the Dutch club, and speaking afterwards he revealed he is happy with his performances so far but hopes to improve further as he regains fitness.

Divine Naah continues his spell on the sidelines with injury and sat out NAC Breda’s 2-1 victory in the Eerstedivisie.

In France, Seko Fofana was at the centre of the action and drew a good save from a stinging shot but could not prevent Bastia going down 2-0 to a Zlatan Ibrahimovic-inspired Paris Saint Germain at the weekend.

The midfielder continues to be one of the first names on the teamsheet for Bastia, who will have easier afternoons than this against the Ligue 1 leaders.

Bismark Boateng also chalked up another 90 minutes for Norwegian outfit Stromsgodset, who were victors over Odds BK.

More locally, James Horsfield was not involved as Doncaster were sunk by Bradford City – the only goal of the game coming from former Blue Devante Cole.

Rovers have now appointed Darren Ferguson as the new boss after dismissing Paul Dickov last month, and James will be aiming to impress his new boss in training ahead of Tuesday’s date away at Shrewsbury Town.

Jason Denayer missed Galatasaray’s 4-1 thrashing of Genclerbirligi this weekend – the same injury that kept him out of Belgium’s recent Euro 2016 qualifiers, but the defender is likely to immediately win back his starting berth once passed fit.

Enes Unal was an unused sub in Genk’s narrow victory over Waasland-Beveren, while on the other side of the Atlantic, neither Angelino saw any action as New York City suffered disappointment away at fellow new boys Orlando City.

Facey is still recovering from a recent setback but is now back on the training field.

Both players have benefited from exposure to professional football in MLS, and will be hoping to be involved when NYCFC take to the field for the final time this season at home to New England Revolution next weekend before they return to Manchester.
