Keira Walsh and Caroline Weir have both been shortlisted for November’s Barclays FA Women’s Super League Goal of the Month award.

The midfield duo were on target in victories against Leicester and Aston Villa respectively, as City rounded off the month with two wins from three WSL matches.

Walsh grabbed her first goal of the season in spectacular fashion at the King Power Stadium, rifling home an unstoppable first-time effort from the edge of the Leicester box in a 4-1 win.

And Weir produced a similarly impressive strike in our 5-0 home triumph against Aston Villa, shifting the ball away from the sliding challenge of Elisha N’Dow before curling a sumptuous effort through a crowd of bodies.

The City pair are up against Manchester United’s Alessia Russo and Ella Toone, as well as Brighton’s Maisie Symonds and Chelsea forward Fran Kirby for November’s award.

Teammate Lauren Hemp is also up for an award courtesy of her exploits across November, shortlisted for the WSL Player of the Month gong.
