Steph Houghton and Lauren Hemp have been shortlisted in the Northwest Football Awards.

The pair - City’s Etihad Player of the Season and QNET Rising Star respectively - have been nominated in the annual awards.

Houghton, who clinched the Northwest Player of the Season gong last year, has been named in the same category.

Meanwhile, Hemp, who also won the PFA Young Player of the Year and MCWFC Official Supporters’ Club Player of the Year, will hope to follow in Georgia Stanway‘s footsteps by claiming the Rising Star prize.

The youngster provided a pivotal contribution from the flank with her exceptional pace and trickery, scoring vital goals against Arsenal and Chelsea in the title run-in.
