Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and Lauren Hemp have both been nominated for October’s Barclays Women’s Super League Goal of the Month.

The duo have both been shortlisted after they were both on target in our 3-0 victory over Spurs.

Bunny had already given us the lead on the stroke of half-time with a header from Alex Greenwood’s pinpoint corner.

But her outstanding second at Brisbane Road has been shortlisted for the award.

The Jamaica international pinched the ball back midway through the opposition’s half, before playing a neat one-two with Laura Coombs and firing home from 25 yards.

15 minutes later, Hemp got in the act with her own spectacular effort.

The winger all-but sealed victory when she collected the ball just inside the box, twisting and turning before hitting a delightful shot across goal into the bottom corner.

City’s duo face stiff competition from Aston Villa’s Kenza Dali, Arsenal’s Frida Maanum, Manchester United’s Hayley Ladd, Spurs’ pair Drew Spence and Jessica Naz and Reading’s Rachel Rowe for the award.

The voting closes at 10:00 (UK) on Monday 7 November and you can vote for our duo below!
