Andrée Jeglertz’s double winners will travel to Florence on Saturday 8 August for a 19:00 (UK) friendly at Rocco B. Commisso Viola Park.
It’s the team’s first pre-season test after reporting back for duty on Monday 20 July ahead of our defence of the Barclays Women’s Super League and FA Cup.
The 2026/27 WSL campaign begins on the first weekend of September, with City sharpening up in a series of pre-season friendlies over August.
Fiorentina are our first opponents, with the Italian side finishing fourth in Serie A in 2025/26.
We most recently faced them in the UEFA Women’s Champions League Round of 16 back in 2021, with City triumphing 8-0 on aggregate.
CITY+’s broadcast of the friendly will begin shortly before kick-off with Mike Minay calling shots before a highlights package follows after full-time.
