Lauren Hemp's spectacular strikes against Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have been shortlisted for November's WSL Goal of the Month award.

The winger was one of City’s standout performers across the month, grabbing two goals and two assists as Gareth Taylor‘s side earned memorable wins in the Manchester derby and against Spurs.

Hemp’s strike at Old Trafford saw City take the lead for the first time in an eventual 3-1 triumph.

Picking up play from Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, the England international curled home a remarkable effort from a tight angle, finding the top corner of the United net.

The strike gave Mary Earps no chance, and was a moment of quality we’ve become accustomed to during Hemp’s time at City so far.

She then followed that up with an equally impressive effort at the Joie Stadium seven days later.

Latching onto a loose ball after Jill Roord‘s initial effort had been blocked, Hemp found the top corner once again in impressive style, this time with her weak foot.

It was City’s fourth goal in an eventual 7-0 win, as we signed off for the December international break in style.
