Khiara Keating has won the Barclays Women’s Super League Golden Glove award for 2023/24.

The goalkeeper has claimed nine clean sheets across the campaign, with no other player able to better that tally across the campaign.

It caps off a fantastic individual campaign for the 19-year-old, who has established herself as City’s regular stopper.

She becomes the first City goalkeeper to win the award since Ellie Roebuck in 2019/20.

Keating has been an ever-present in the WSL, starting all 21 matches so far with Gareth Taylor’s side conceding just 14 times.

It’s the best defensive record in the division and has been essential in our push for a first league crown since 2016.

A standout performance against Chelsea in our first home game of the season, following a clean sheet on the opening day against West Ham United, saw Keating make her mark between the sticks.

And several other impressive displays have followed, including a remarkable late save against Emma Hayes’ side in a statement 1-0 win at Kingsmeadow in February.

That triumph formed part of a five-match sequence of shutouts in all competitions for City, four of which were away from home.

Everyone at Manchester City would like to congratulate Khiara on her incredible achievement.
