Gareth Taylor and Lauren Hemp have been nominated in March's FA Women’s Super League awards.

Manager Taylor has been shortlisted for the Manager of the Month award for the fifth month in a row, while PFA Young Player of the Year Hemp has been named in the Player of the Month category.

Continuing our superb 2021, City enjoyed an excellent March, picking up three wins from three in the league, scoring five goals and keeping three clean sheets.

Late victories over Everton and Reading, plus a 3-0 win at Bristol City, issued a statement of our title credentials, as the FA Cup holders kept pace with league leaders Chelsea.

Hemp played a pivotal role throughout the month, carving the assists for Keira Walsh and Chloe Kelly‘s late matchwinners with two moments of magic - the latter a sensational weaving run into the Reading penalty area.

Our duo face stiff competition, with Taylor lining up against Chelsea’s Emma Hayes and Arsenal’s Joe Montemurro, while Hemp locks horns with Chelsea’s Fran Kirby, Everton’s Hayley Raso, Bristol City’s Charlie Wellings and Arsenal’s Carlotte Wubben-Moy.

Voting closes at noon on Monday 12 April with the winners to be announced on Wednesday 16 April via the @BarclaysFAWSL Twitter account.

Good luck to both of our nominees.
