Laura Coombs' super strike against Everton has been shortlisted for March's FA Women’s Super League Goal of the Month.

The midfielder’s sweetly-struck drive across Sandy MacIver has been voted one of the best goals of an impeccable month for City.

The 31-year-old made an impactful cameo appearance from the bench against the Toffees - introduced on 78 minutes and finding the net just seven minutes later.

The effort marked her eighth in City colours with the playmaker having carved a name for herself as a scorer of stunning goals.

Coombs’ fine finish lines up alongside some exceptional goals in the shortlist, including Maya Le Tissier’s strike v Aston Villa, Pernille Harder’s first against West Ham and Dagný Brynjarsdóttir’s goal from the same game, Katie Zelem’s second against Leicester, Claire Emslie’s drilled effort against Manchester United, as well as Guro Reiten’s first and Jessie Fleming’s effort against Leicester.

Voting closes on Monday 4 April at 10:00am with the winner to be announced at noon on Thursday 7 April.
