Manchester City’s 2023/24 Barclays Women’s Super League campaign will begin with a trip to West Ham United, before we welcome Chelsea to the Academy Stadium.

Our clash with the Hammers will take place on Sunday 1 October at the Chigwell Construction Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 (UK).

Gareth Taylor’s side came away from the capital with a 1-0 win in January 2023 on our last visit to east London, before winning a thrilling reverse fixture 6-2 at the Academy Stadium three months later.

Our first home match of the new season sees reigning WSL champions Chelsea travel north on the weekend of 7/8 October.

Stunning strikes from Filippa Angeldahl and Lauren Hemp earned City a deserved 2-0 victory over Emma Hayes’ side in our last meeting, the first time we’d beaten the Londoners in 11 attempts in the league.

The reverse fixture is set for 17/18 February, three weeks before we welcome Manchester United to the Academy Stadium for a crucial derby clash.

However, our first fixture with our local rivals will take place on 18/19 November, when we travel to the Leigh Sports Village.

City enjoyed two thrilling clashes with Arsenal as part of a four-way race for the WSL title, and we first face the Gunners at Meadow Park in early November, before hosting Jonas Eidevall’s side in our final home game of the season on 4/5 May.

Taylor’s side faced Bristol City in both cup competitions last season, and the newly promoted Vixens travel to the Academy Stadium for our second home match of the season on 14/15 October, with the return fixture representing our penultimate away assignment of 2023/24.

The WSL will break for one month over the festive period and our final fixture of 2023 sees us travel to Walton Hall Park to face Everton.

We then return to league action on 20/21 January when we welcome the Toffees’ Merseyside rivals Liverpool to the Academy Stadium.

City are on the road for our final match of the campaign, with a difficult assignment away to Aston Villa on the agenda.
