Andrée Jeglertz preview
The City boss will address the media at the City Football Academy from 14:30 (UK) on Friday 16 October.
Previous meeting
We last faced the Seagulls as we went head-to-head in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium in April.
Jeglertz’s side claimed the trophy for a fourth time in our history after securing a 4-0 victory and sealing a historic domestic double.
Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and Alex Greenwood fired home towards the end of an otherwise evenly matched first half to hand City a two-goal advantage at the break.
Aoba Fujino came off the bench to make it three with 25 to play, with Vivianne Miedema heading home late on.Â
Last time out
We faced Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium ahead of the international break in which we claimed another dramatic victory.
The WSL champions rallied from 2-1 down to make it five wins from five in the league.
The Gunners more than played their part at the Etihad Stadium, with Lisa Baum and Alessia Russo efforts cancelled out by Lauren Hemp and Kerstin Casparij before the former put us ahead with 20 to play.
And Shaw then delivered a knockout blow late on in a captivating tie between two of the WSL’s heavyweights to continue our perfect start to the campaign.
