The Japan international has signed a new deal with the Club which keeps her at the Joie Stadium until the summer of 2030.
WATCH AOBA AT THE ETIHAD AGAINST ARSENAL!
One of the WSL’s most exciting young talents, Fujino’s shown an eye for the spectacular on several occasions during her time in Blue so far.
Asked to rank five of her best goals by our social media team, you can look back on each strike in greater detail below…
St Polten - October 2024
City found ourselves 2-1 down in Vienna, with hopes of maintaining a 100% UEFA Women’s Champions League 2024/25 record in the balance.
That was until Fujino grabbed her first goal for the Blues since a summer move from Tokyo Verdy Beleza.
Meeting Chloe Kelly’s teasing cross to the far post, the winger stole a yard of space in the area and sent a vicious volley home to draw us level.
Mary Fowler’s header later on would ultimately complete an impressive turnaround for City.

Spurs - March 2025
A first WSL goal would follow a few months later, as Fujino combining expertly with Japan team-mate Yui Hasegawa to earn a gutsy 2-1 win in London.
Meeting Hasegawa’s pass in behind, the winger took a touch inside Molly Bartrip with her favoured right foot before smashing a vicious volley in with her left.

Liverpool - October 2025
Another late Fujino goal to earn City all three points, this time at Anfield in October 2025.
Iman Beney’s earlier effort had seemingly earned the Blues a point on Merseyside, but our Japan winger’s clever run down the right flank opened up the space for Sydney Lohmann to slip her in behind.
Despite a tight angle, Fujino’s vicious low effort was too strong for Rafaela Borggrafe, and snuck in at the Liverpool stopper’s near post.
Aoba wheeled away in celebration towards the travelling City fans, before being mobbed by her team-mates!

Chelsea - March 2025
Fujino has played in two finals for City and has gone on to score in both.
The first of those came in March 2025 at Pride Park, with the Blues losing out 2-1 to Chelsea in the League Cup showpiece.
City were ultimately undone by a late own goal on the day, but Fujino delivered a moment of brilliance to temporarily draw us level.
Playing a one-two with Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, the Japan international picked up play just inside the Chelsea half, jinked her way into the area, and rifled into the top corner from a tight angle.

Brighton - May 2026
Another classic Fujino strike to help City make history at Wembley!
The Japan international finished off an exquisite team move with the Blues’ third goal in our 4-0 FA Cup final win over Brighton in May 2026.
Picking up play from Vivianne Miedema, our number 20 cut back onto her left foot and smashed an effort into the top corner from the edge of the box.
