Mateo Kovacic netted his first City goal as Pep Guardiola's side cruised into the FIFA Club World Cup final with a superb 3-0 victory over Urawa Red Diamonds.

Guardiola‘s men dominated the first period at the King Abdullah Sport City stadium in Jeddah.

The Blues got the opener that our performance deserved in first-half stoppage time, with a dangerous Matheus Nunes cross diverted into his own net by Marius Hoibraten.

Seven minutes after the break, Kovacic added a fantastic second, latching onto Kyle Walker‘s pass to burst through on goal and finish high into the net, claiming his first goal for City.

Just before the hour-mark, City scored a third, with Bernardo Silva’s deflected strike finding the bottom corner, beating the sprawling Nishikawa at his near post.

Substitutes Julian Alvarez and Oscar Bobb came close to adding a fourth, but we remained calm, resolute and professional to secure progression into Friday’s showpiece final.
