“They were better than us,” said Guardiola on City’s run of four away matches without a goal at Spurs.
“I have the feeling always when we were there that we played decent games. They have the quality to punish you. They are a tough opponent.
“Maybe they haven’t won titles but they are always in the Champions League and challenging for the top four.”
PREVIOUS MEETING
City recovered from conceding two goals in two minutes at the end of the first-half to produce a stunning second 45 and beat Tottenham 4-2 on another memorable night at the Etihad Stadium earlier this month.
The Blues were at their irresistible best when it was needed most to repeat Tottenham’s feat by scoring twice in two minutes early after the break through Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland.
Two more from the excellent Riyad Mahrez completed a superb comeback by City who had to dig deep to turn this game around.
LAST TIME OUT
Nathan Ake was the match winner as we overcame Arsenal 10 at the Etihad in a tightly contested FA Cup fourth round clash.
