City have two representatives among the contenders for the 2020/21 Premier League Young Player of the Season award.

Ruben Dias and Phil Foden have both been nominated for the coveted prize, named in the eight-man shortlist in recognition of their outstanding contributions to our title-winning triumph.

Dias, who has also been included in the EA Sports Player of the Season category having already been named the Club’s Etihad Player of the Season and 2021 Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year, has earned further acclaim for a superb debut campaign.

A summer recruit from Benfica in September 2020, the centre-back proved an instant hit and played a starring role in City’s Premier League success, helping to secure a watertight defence which conceded the fewest goals in the division.

Foden shone equally as brightly at the sharp end of the pitch, playing an instrumental role in steering his beloved childhood Club to our third title in four seasons.

The midfield magician produced 14 goal involvements in 17 Premier League starts and 11 appearances from the bench.

The City duo face stern competition, lining up alongside Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Leeds United’s Illan Meslier, Chelsea’s Mason Mount, Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, West Ham United’s Declan Rice and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka for the prize.

Voting closes at 18:00 (UK time) on Thursday 3 June so don’t miss the chance to have your say!
