Pep Guardiola says Jack Grealish has recovered from illness ahead of City's trip to Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday.

Grealish missed Saturday’s 4-0 victory at Fulham but the England winger is expected to be in contention for tomorrow’s return to London.

Guardiola was also asked about Nathan Ake after the Dutch defender was a first half substitute at Craven Cottage with a suspected injury to his right foot.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Monday, the boss said Ake will try to train with the group this afternoon.

“Jack is recovered from illness,” he began.

“Nathan was much better yesterday, Now we are going to train and we will see if he can train later today.

“[His injury is] not serious but it’s only three days since last game to tomorrow.”

City know victories in both of our last two games will see us crowned Premier League champions for a record fourth successive season.

We head to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium without a goal in four league visits.

Guardiola believes the stakes this time around make it the perfect time for his players to get a first league win at Spurs’ new home.

“Many times it happened, we play really good and we were not able to score and win,” said Guardiola.

“It’s the chance to do something in this country another team has done it.

“It would be something exceptional. Never happened in the Premier League, we have to do it this time.

“In front of us we haven’t done it and it’s the time to do it otherwise Arsenal will be champions.”
