Pep Guardiola has confirmed Kalvin Phillips, John Stones and Kyle Walker will miss Sunday's Premier League clash with Liverpool.

Phillips is recovering from surgery on his shoulder while Stones has not been available for selection since limping out of England’s match with Germany in September.

Walker is recovering from surgery on a groin injury sustained during the Manchester derby victory earlier this month.

Guardiola and Klopp: An incredible Premier League rivalry

Ahead of this weekend’s trip to Anfield, Guardiola told the media not to expect any of the trio to feature.

“All of them will be out,” he said.

“John I think will be back I don’t know when but maybe one week, ten days. Kalvin is getting better and is improving a lot. Kyle is still out.”

Asked whether they will be ready for the World Cup, which starts next month, Guardiola said: “I don’t know.”
