2000

City salvage a 2-2 draw at home against Stockport County at Maine Road, losing ground at the top of the Division One table.

Jamie Pollock opens the scoring for Joe Royle’s side only for the Hatters to turn the game on its head through Ian Moore and Michael Flynn.

The visitors look to be heading for another famous victory over City, having emerged victorious in the reverse fixture at Edgeley Park, but Richard Jobson pops up to head home Richard Edghill’s cross and rescue a precious point.

2010

City turn on the style in a sparkling display away to Fulham.

First half goals from Roque Santa Cruz and Carlos Tevez prove enough to see off the Cottagers, who pull a late goal back from the penalty spot to ensure the travelling fans endure a nervy final few minutes!


2012

City produce a superb late comeback to clinch a crucial victory in the 2011/12 Premier League title race.

Gary Cahill breaks the deadlock for Chelsea on the hour-mark to dent our hopes of a first league crown, before Sergio Aguero equalises from the penalty spot with 12 minutes to go.

Desperate for a winner, City press forward and Samir Nasri shows incredible composure to collect Carlos Tevez’s clever through-ball and dink the ball over Petr Cech with just five minutes remaining, snatching a pivotal win.

We all know how that season panned out…

2015

Wilfried Bony scores his first goal for City, as Manuel Pellegrini’s side storm to a 3-0 win over West Brom at the Etihad Stadium.

Fernando and David Silva are also on the scoresheet on a comfortable but unusual afternoon which sees referee Neil Swarbrick send off the wrong Baggies player with Gareth McAuley controversially dismissed instead of Craig Dawson.

2018

City place one foot into the UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-finals with a 2-0 home leg victory over Linkoping.

Goals from Nikita Parris and Jane Ross clinch a firm advantage at the Academy Stadium for Nick Cushing’s side to take to Sweden the following week, in an entertaining clash which also sees Lina Lantz red carded.
