Out former skipper and manager of Welsh Premier League champions Connah's Quay selects his all-time City XI.

It’s a fascinating insight to how one of the Club’s true warriors would set his team out, with a nice blend of skill, artistry and aggression.

Take it away, Andy...

“I’ll start at the back with three of the lads I played alongside and a couple I didn’t.

“Nicky Weaver is my keeper - a fantastic talent who was integral to our back-to-back promotions.

“Right-back is taken up by Richard Edghill - a lad who didn’t always get the credit he deserved but was steady as a rock.

“My central defensive partnership would be Gerard Wiekens and Vincent Kompany - you wouldn’t get much change out of either of them.

“Left-back is Aleks Kolarov - what a delivery he has and I like him because he has an edge to his game.

“My midfield anchor is Fernandinho, with Kev Horlock and Kevin De Bruyne making up my central three.

“I’d play David Silva just behind Sergio Aguero and Shaun Goater - imagine The Goat with Aguero - there would be plenty of goals, that’s for sure.

“On the bench are Joe Hart, Bish, Dunney, Mark Kennedy, Raheem Sterling, Dicky and Carlos Tevez.

“That’s a team I’d enjoy managing, but I’ve gone for my old gaffer Joe Royle as the boss, playing a 4-3-3 formation.

“I don’t think we’d lose many games!”
