It’ll be a special Matchday Live show for our away game at Luton Town this weekend.

Keith Curle and Joleon Lescott will be in the studio to assess the clash with the newly-promoted Hatters – but we also have the Class of 99 heading to the match!

The last time City faced Luton at their home ground, we drew 1-1 in November 1998.

That result came in the 1998/99 season which ended spectacularly in our Play-Off final success over Gillingham in a game that will live long in the memory for all Blues.

And we’re turning the clock back to that memorable era on Sunday for the 14:00 (UK) match, with Andy Morrison, Paul Dickov, Shaun Goater, Gareth Taylor, Nicky Weaver and Michael Brown jumping on a bus to Bedfordshire to take in the clash.

Morrison was our scorer in that 1-1 game the last time we faced Luton while Dickov scored the memorable Wembley goal to ensure promotion.

Weaver, Goater and Taylor all played against the Hatters for Joe Royle’s side that November afternoon while Brown came on a substitute in front of the 9,070 in attendance.
