Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique says he’s long enjoyed watching City matches.

The Spaniard has guided the French side to the Champions League title in each of the last two seasons, having previously been in charge of Barcelona and the Spanish national side.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of Wednesday’s meeting between PSG and City at the Etihad Stadium, Enrique says he’s relished seeing City under both Pep Guardiola and our new boss Enzo Maresca whenever he gets the chance.

How can I watch City v PSG around the world?

“I used to watch Pep’s City and I always watch Manchester City. As a football supporter, I like to watch Enzo Maresca’s teams play,” he said.

“They’re very entertaining and attacking. They’re having a good time of things and to win six of six is no mean feat. That speaks volumes to their level.

“They’ve got lots of top players and a good manager too.

“It’s a challenge and a real motivation to play here.

“We’re now going to play at one of the best teams in Europe. They’re out of Pot A and top seeds.

“We’re very motivated to play them because we want to show the level we are.”

Wednesday’s meeting will also see Gianluigi Donnarumma face his previous side for the first time since joining City last September.

Enrique says he’s looking forward to seeing the Italian goalkeeper again on Wednesday.

“I love Gigio and feel really glad I got to work with him,” he stated.

“It was tough when the decision was made for him to leave but that’s football.

“I’m really happy to see him playing at the same level he did at PSG and doing so well at Manchester City.”
