Enzo Maresca has made just two changes to his City side for today’s pre-season clash with K-League All Stars.

Ruben Dias comes in to captain the side, with Rayan Ait-Nouri also starting.

Stephen Mfuni and Savinho are the two players who started against Inter on Saturday to drop to the bench.

With record temperatures in Seoul, it’s expected the manager will continue to rotate his players throughout the clash with a side comprised of the best players from Korea’s top-flight.

Tactics

Gianluigi Donnarumma’s goal will likely be protected by central defenders Josko Gvardiol and captain Ruben Dias.

We’d expect Abdukodir Khusanov and Rayan Ait-Nouri to be the full-backs, with Rico Lewis, Mateo Kovacic and Tijjani Reijnders all in midfield.

Phil Foden and Antoine Semenyo will be the two players closest to central striker Divin Mubama.

Back in Korea

This match marks our first in Seoul since 2023, when we faced Atletico Madrid at this very stadium in our final game of that particular tour.

Conditions were difficult that night because of intense rainfall and they’ll be tough again this evening in a wholly different way.

The whole of South Korea is experiencing record heat, with temperatures at kick-off expected to be around 34 degrees Celsius.

Phil Foden mentioned in yesterday’s press conference that City will look to control the game and move the ball slowly around the pitch to navigate that.
