Having spent the 2025/26 season on loan with the Toffees, Grealish will now return to the Hill Dickinson Stadium outfit for a second successive campaign.
He makes the latest move up the M62 having made 159 appearances for City, scoring 17 goals since joining in the summer of 2021.
After making the move to City from Aston Villa, the England winger subsequently went on to play a key role during what proved the most successful period in the Club’s history.
In that time, the 30-year-old helped City win seven major trophies, a haul that included three Premier League titles, the FA Cup, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
Grealish’s maiden season at the Club in 2021/22 saw him play his part as City claimed what was a fourth Premier League title under Pep Guardiola with the Birmingham-born wide man featuring 39 times overall.
However, his Etihad career truly took flight the following term with Grealish going on to prove a key component of the side that secured the historic Treble of Premier League, FA Cup and a maiden UEFA Champions League success.
Grealish started both the 2023 FA Cup final where City beat Manchester United 2-1 and 2023 UEFA Champions League final which saw the Blues memorably beat Inter 1-0 to claim a first European Cup and with it the Treble.
More notable success was to follow for the attacking winger in 2023/24.
Grealish was part of the City teams that lifted both the 2023 UEFA Super Cup and 2023 FIFA Club World Cup, in the process becoming the first English side to secure the Big Five of league, FA Cup, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World in the same calendar year.
And another memorable season was capped with Grealish helping City create yet more history by becoming the first English men’s side to win four Premier League titles in a row.
A further 32 appearances followed in what proved a frustrating 2024/25 season for City before Grealish then spent the 2056/26 campaign on loan at fellow Premier League side Everton where he made 22 appearances in total before a foot injury cut short his campaign.
