New City signing Gerónimo Rulli says he’s looking forward to meeting Blues fans at the City are Back event on Thursday.

The hugely experienced goalkeeper has made the move to the Etihad from French club Marseille and signed a two-year contract, subject to international clearance.

The 34-year-old met with a selection of supporters this afternoon at a City Store Meet & Greet alongside Elliot Anderson, Marc Guéhi and Gianluigi Donnarumma.

And he will get the chance to interact with even more at the Open Training Session which is set for the Joie Stadium tomorrow.

The Argentinian international is relishing the chance to mingle with them as the first team continue the build-up to the start of the 2026/27 campaign.

“I always say the same when you arrive at a club, you must meet the fans,” he said.

“So for me it will be a very special moment and I cannot wait to be there with them.

“I think the connection is really important because when you go to work with the fans it makes everything much easier.

“I think the crowd is doing really well – look at the things over the last years and the trophies.

“I think it would be really important to be in the same page, in the same way and I know I arrive today at the best place to do it.”
