Manchester City enjoyed another excellent month, winning all but one of our six games as we reached the FA Cup semi-final and the Champions League last eight whilst consolidating our position at the top of the Premier League.
Once again, there was no shortage of impressive performers as the entire squad continues to contribute to our fine form and shortlisting just three proved a difficult task.
But in De Bruyne we had a player who was at his influential best.
The Belgian midfielder scored four times in five appearances, netting a brace against Southampton, whilst he was also on target against Borussia Monchengladbach and Everton, where his impact off the bench swung the cup tie in City’s favour.
Fernandinho was equally as effective as he turned out four times in March.
The Club captain led by example with several typically all-action performances in the midfield anchor role he has perfected, with Pep Guardiola highlighting his contributions in our Champions League and FA Cup victories.
Completing our trio of nominees is Laporte, who helped us maintain our superb defensive record as we kept clean sheets against Fulham, Gladbach and Everton.
The Frenchman played five times and delivered a number of assured performances at the heart of defence.
