Who stood out for you in March?

Was there a performance or goal that might have already made your mind up?

The vote for the Etihad Player of the Month is now open and will close at noon next Friday, 1 April.

So, who are the three candidates?

John Stones

The England defender enjoyed an excellent March with a series of outstanding displays.

During an unbeaten month, City conceded just two goals in five matches with Stones stepping up to replace Ruben Dias with a minimum of fuss.

His performance in the Manchester derby was excellent, as was his display against Crystal Palace where he was arguably the best player on the pitch.

A fine month by a fantastic defender.

Kevin De Bruyne

Returning to his masterful best, Kevin De Bruyne shone during March.

His performance against Manchester United was magnificent and worthy of a monthly nomination on its own as he scored twice and made another in the 4-1 win over the Reds.

The Belgian playmaker has been shifting through the gears as the season progresses towards its conclusion and he was also on target in the 4-1 win over Southampton last time out.

A definite contender.

Phil Foden

Our homegrown England star also enjoyed a fantastic March.

He began by assisting goals for Riyad Mahrez and Jack Grealish in the 2-0 win over Peterborough United in an impressive performance.

He then played the false nine role superbly against United, where it was his piece of magic that resulted in De Bruyne‘s second goal of the game.

And Foden ended the month with a stunning goal after coming on as sub against Southampton to put himself firmly in the picture for the March prize.
