Elite Development Squad striker Divin Mubama has joined Championship outfit Southampton on a season-long loan.

The striker is now linking up with the Saints after an impressive pre-season tour with Enzo Maresca’s first-team in which he scored two goals in two games.

The 21-year-old joined City in August 2024 from West Ham United and instantly brought strength, hunger and maturity to the number nine role for our Under-21s side.

Just before his Premier League 2 debut in blue, Mubama’s first City appearance was for Pep Guardiola’s first team in our 8-0 FA Cup win over Salford in January 2025.

Mubama impressed with his intensity, aggression and link-up play which also saw him score at the Etihad in a fine start to life for the Club.

He carried his goalscoring form into the PL2, finding the back of the net 16 times in 13 games to help us lift the League Phase and Playoff titles.

Ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, the England youth international then made the short trip to Stoke who he joined on a season-long loan as he looked to gain more senior experience.

In his 26 appearances in the Championship, Mubama scored five goals, two of which were in his opening two games for the Club, before an injury in the latter half of the season impacted his game time.

Everyone at Manchester City would like to wish Divin the very best of luck during his loan spell on the south coast.
