We asked you to wrap up our #City30 feature with your favourite goal...

For City fans, asking that question will evoke strong emotions.

And for good reason.

Would it be Yaya’s winner versus Stoke in the 2011 FA Cup final - this ending a 35-year wait for silverware?

Or would the vote go back further and suggest Paul Dickov’s last-gasp strike against Gillingham in 1999?

It’s almost a given that Sergio Aguero‘s winner against QPR would rank highly - and, in fact, we are talking single votes in deciding the winner - but that winner was from the 2018/19 campaign...

You will, by this stage, realise (if the headline hadn’t maybe given it away to begin with) that Vincent Kompany’s superb long-range effort against Leicester has just edged the vote.

It was no more dramatic than Sergio’s winner against QPR, but when the game seemed to be heading for a stalemate and the title to Merseyside, so up steps the skipper to take a crack from 25 yards.

Legend has it his team-mates (and the majority of the 54,000 crowd) were yelling him not to shoot, but he did anyway, and the result was stunning.

It gave City the victory needed to overhaul Liverpool but the unexpected source of such a beautiful goal clearly made it your favourite.

Enjoy again and thanks to everyone who has voted for #City30 topics over the past month...
