Phil Foden's first half goal was the decisive moment in City's 1-0 Premier League away win over Bournemouth.

Pep Guardiola‘s men dominated the ball from kick-off, with Erling Haaland carving out the best chance in the opening stages. His effort, however, drifted wide of the right post to give the hosts some breathing space.

Quickfire shots from Rodrigo, Bernardo Silva and Matheus Nunes as we edged towards the 15 minute mark continued to put pressure on Bournemouth’s keeper Neto who was called into action a handful of times.

Phil Foden reacted quickest to Erling Haaland‘s attempt which was palmed away from Bournemouth’s goal mouth in the 23rd minute. The on running boy from Stockport converted the loose ball after Haaland’s hard work to unleash an initial shot paid off.

The second half was a tense affair with Bournemouth enjoying a lot more of the ball. Antoine Semenyo and Dominic Solanke saw chances go astray as the hosts fought for an equaliser.

Strong defending from Ruben Dias saw him head a goal bound chance clear as City were able to hold out a persistent Andoni Iraola side to extend City’s unbeaten run to 17 games in all competitions.
