Julian Alvarez’s brilliant strike against RB Leipzig has been nominated for UEFA’s Champions League goal of the week.

The Argentinian striker hit a sublime 84th minute goal as we secured a 3-1 victory in Germany to move top of Group G.

Phil Foden gave us a first half lead before Lois Openda equalised for the Bundesliga side with their first effort on goal.

The game looked to be heading towards a draw when substitute Alvarez scored five minutes after coming on with a wonderful curling shot from the edge of the box.
