Seven City players are in the Lionesses squad, with Karen Bardsley, Steph Houghton,Demi Stokes, Keira Walsh, Jill Scott, Ellen White and Georgia Stanway all selected as England look to build on their bronze medal success of 2015.
They could come against club team-mate Caroline Weir who forms part of Shelley Kerr’s squad.
And Kerr says all the pressure is on England.
“We’re playing against a formidable England team, ranked third in the world,” she said.
“And part of the reason Phil Neville took the job was to win a World Cup, so it’s going to be a tough task.”

France beat South Korea 4-0 in the opening match of the tournament on Friday, before an action-packed day yesterday that saw Germany, Spain and Norway make winning starts.
Teenager Giulia Gwinn scored the only goal of the game as Germany beat China to get their Group B campaign off to a flyer.
Thembi Kgatlana gave South Africa a shock lead against Spain, but two Jennifer Hermoso penalties and a neat Lucia Garcia finish saw Spain run out 3-1 winners.
And three first half goals saw Norway ease to victory over Nigeria. Guro Reiten’s gave them an early lead, before Lisa-Marie Utland and an Osinachi Ohale own goal sealed a comfortable three points.
