“Etihad chiefs had been waiting for a bidding war to start for the youngster - but could now nip in and complete a deal for the Borussia Dortmund attacker.

“Foden displayed his full range of skills against Dinamo Zagreb, effortlessly gliding past players in some of those weaving runs from midfield and picking out clever passes to help City’s front three find space.
