Riyad Mahrez, Aymeric Laporte and David Silva have been nominated for the October Etihad Player of the Month award.

The poll is now open and fans are invited to vote for the player they feel made the biggest impact over the course of another excellent month for City.

Sergio Aguero won both the August and September editions, but with several Blues in top form, this vote promises to be a difficult decision.

Mahrez is enjoying a sparkling run, having bagged five goals in his last eight games, including a crucial winner against Tottenham on Monday night and a worldie in the triumph over Burnley.

Our summer recruit is really starting to find his feet for his new club, evident with a number of Man of the Match displays. He also provided an assist in the Champions League at Shakhtar Donetsk.

Many wondered how he would bounce back from the penalty miss disappointment at Anfield, but the Algerian has responded in terrific fashion.

Laporte has hit the headlines as one of the Premier League’s most consistent players. He has featured in every single one of the Blues’ games (bar the cup victory at Oxford) and set a new record in the win over Spurs, boasting the longest unbeaten run (19 games, 17 wins, two draws) in Premier League history.

The Frenchman also wrote his name into the scoresheet in the European win in Ukraine and his stellar displays have earned deserved acclaim across the board.

Finally, a regular name in the Player of the Month selections: David Silva.

At the age of 32, El Mago continues to mesmerise. With pivotal strikes in the Champions League triumphs at Hoffenheim and Shakhtar, plus two assists in the 5-0 thrashing of Burnley, the Spaniard has woven some wonderful magic.
