Lauris Coggin’s youngsters will begin our cup campaign with a trip to Brentford before a home clash against south coast outfit Southampton.
And we will complete the group stage with a trip to fellow Under-18 Premier League North side Burnley.
Our games against Under-18 Premier League South teams Brentford and Southampton will provide our young blues with the chance to play against unfamiliar faces as we look to continue our development.
The competition’s format sees the top-performing side from each group advance to the knockout stage.
Last season, despite our unbeaten run across our games against Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Sheffield United to see us earn seven points, the former advanced to the knockout stage with a better goal difference.
City will be hoping to go one step further this term.
