Ben Wilkinson’s squad have been a formidable force in the competition this season.

Our FA Youth Cup journey began with a trip to Vicarage Road where a comfortable 2-0 win over Watford meant City would face the reigning champions West Ham United in the fourth round.

A trip to London awaited and the task ahead was no easy feat. It took an extra-time penalty from Jacob Wright and a strike from Justin Oboavwoduo to dismiss the 2022/23 victors.

Finally on home soil for the first time in the competition, City welcomed Reading to the Joie Stadium in February.

Goals from Jaden Heskey and Emilio Lawrence inside the opening 20 minutes stunned the visitors who attempted a late fightback with a Kiyan Coke-Miles strike but Reading failed to find an equaliser to City’s enjoyment and reward for showing defensive resilience.

Our latest FA Youth Cup assignment saw City take on Tottenham Hotspur in Manchester. In our toughest test yet, Spurs broke the deadlock on 62 minutes through a Tyrese Hall goal.

An 84th minute close-range strike from Luca Fletcher saw the game set to go to extra-time but up stepped Jacob Wright to take a free-kick from just outside the opposition box.

The composed and experience midfielder curled the ball past the Spurs keeper to send fans inside the Joie Stadium into a frenzy as our place in the final four was secured with a 2-1 win.

And Bristol City will likely prove to be another tough encounter with end-to-end football that you won’t want to miss on Tuesday 2 April.
