Tekkz and Matias Bonanno return to ePremier League action this weekend as they compete in the Group Stage of the highly anticipated competition.

Mati and Tekkz overcame respective opponents JFS-1894 and IamLegendzPro in the Club Playoffs last month to secure their places at the Group Stage level of the competition.

And on Saturday 20 January, the Man City Esports duo will compete against their fellow Group A teams as 20 Premier League clubs battle it out for a place in the quarter-finals of the Knockout Stages.

City’s first game will see us take on Chelsea at around 16:00 (UK). Tekkz will face fellow Xbox Pro Jsharp while, in his debut in the English league, Mati will compete against Conkai on PlayStation.

Shortly after, at approximately 16:30 (UK), Tekkz, the former ePrem champ, will take on Burnley’s BradColston and Mati will battle SalmanAhmad.

An hour later the City Esports duo will return to the live stream as they take on West Ham duo BrigArmy17 and GRK before the final games of the evening sees Tekkz and Mati face Everton’s ChrisJakeman and DanielZanieri-1996.

In order to automatically qualify for the quarter-finals of the competition, which will take place on Sunday 24 March, Tekkz and Mati will need to top Group A.

While the format sees them play one-v-one against their respective console components, their points from each game will be accumulated.

If they are unable to top the group, Tekkz and Mati will compete against the remaining 16 clubs in a single elimination bracket on Saturday 23 March for one of the final four spots in the quarter-finals.
