Manchester City is proud to once again support this year's Manchester Pride celebrations, one of the UK's longest-running celebrations of LGBTQ+ culture, community and inclusion.

As thousands of people from across Greater Manchester come together this weekend, the Club will once again mark the occasion through a series of events celebrating inclusion, allyship and the LGBTQ+ community. 

On Friday, in line with tradition, representatives from the Club, fans and local community organisations gathered outside the Etihad Stadium for Manchester City’s annual Pride flag-raising ceremony. 

The Progress Pride Flag was once again raised outside West Reception as a visible symbol of the Club’s ongoing commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive and respectful environment for everyone. 

The flag will remain proudly on display throughout Manchester Pride weekend for supporters and visitors to the Etihad Campus. 

The evening before, the Club hosted a special Pride celebration event at Salon Madre, just off Manchester’s iconic Canal Street. The event welcomed local supporter groups, City Matters representatives, supporters from across the wider fanbase, and colleagues from across the Club for an evening of conversation, connection and celebration. 

This weekend, members of Canal St Blues and other Manchester City supporter groups will once again join thousands of people taking part in the annual Manchester Pride Parade through the city centre, continuing a long-standing tradition of celebrating and supporting LGBTQ+ communities. 

Manchester City remains committed to ensuring football is a game where everybody feels they belong. The Club operates a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination of any kind and continues to work closely with supporters and community groups to help foster an inclusive environment for all. 

As part of that commitment, the Club is proud to work alongside Lee Broadstock, Chair of City Matters and Manchester City’s LGBTQ+ Representative, helping to ensure that the voices and experiences of LGBTQ+ supporters are represented in discussions that matter to our fan community.
