Our second signing as a professional outfit back in November 2013, Karen Bardsley is one of City’s longest-serving players.

Almost six years to the day later, she made her 100th appearance for the Club, becoming our latest City Centurion.

In the first of our week-long series, KB recalls a ‘remarkable’ achievement: the 2014 Continental Cup success which shocked the footballing world.

Facing the country’s most successful women’s side in Arsenal at Adams Park, Wycombe, Nick Cushing’s side headed into the clash as firm underdogs.

However, the league’s newcomers battled hard and against all odds, defeated the much-fancied Gunners to claim our first piece of major silverware in our very first season in the top flight!
