Khiara Keating says signing her first professional contract with City is a proud moment for her and her family.

The 18-year-old goalkeeper has penned a deal until 2024, having already made five senior appearances for Gareth Taylor‘s side as well as representing England Under19s.

The Manchester-born teenager will now provide additional competition for the Club’s goalkeeping department as well as vital cover as she continues to learn her trade.

“This is such a proud day for me and my family,” said Keating.

“I’ve been with the girls for a while, but to be an official City player now is, as I say, just a proud moment for me.

“I started last season expecting to work hard and soak up as much as I could, so to play games for the first team was beyond my expectations.

“I was just a normal college girl who started training with the senior team and all the Lionesses we have and that just increases your maturity and pushes your standards that much higher.”
