To celebrate Toni Duggan signing for Manchester City on this day in 2013, look back on one of her most important goals and performances in blue...

The England international joined City a decade ago from Everton, and would score the Club’s first competitive goals after our professionalisation a few months later in a 2-1 win over Reading.

In total, Duggan found the net 34 times in 75 matches in all competitions before moving on to Barcelona in 2017.

Capable of the spectacular, the forward grabbed memorable goals against both Brondby and Chelsea during her time at the Club to name a few, winning Nissan Goal of the Season on two occasions.

Her finish from the spot against Chelsea in 2016 wasn’t quite as audacious, but it was perhaps one of her most vital in a City shirt.

Indeed, a 2-0 victory over Emma Hayes’ team sealed our first ever FA Women’s Super League title in front of a jubilant home crowd.

The hosts took the lead when Katie Chapman, under pressure from Jill Scott, turned Duggan’s corner into her own net and the forward double our lead five minutes after the interval, confidently dispatching a penalty after Gilly Flaherty had fouled Lucy Bronze.
