The Australian forward suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury that ruled her out of first-team action for around nine months.
But she is back to her best and ready to make an impact in our opener against Birmingham City at the Joie Stadium on Sunday at 14:30 (UK).
Fowler was able to make a contribution towards the end of last season as we won a league and cup double – not least scoring a crucial goal in City’s FA Cup semi-final win at Chelsea.
Jeglertz says she was happy to be flexible at the end of the season but believes his challenge is to now get the most from her in the 2026/27 campaign.

“Mary was amazing in spring,” the City boss said in his pre-match press conference.
“She came back from her injury and when we talked about it she said you can use me however you want, this is just a bonus for me coming in.
“I was very impressed with that mentality from her, she played all over the place and contributed a lot but now coming into this season.
“Now it’s my job, together with her, to find out how we can take the next step and how she can really affect each game, and what’s the best way or situation to get the best from her.
“I’m really excited. We’ve already seen in a couple of pre-season games already that she has something special.
“It’s really exciting to work with her every day but I also think she can be an X-factor in some games.”
