Alanna Kennedy may only be a matter of days into her City career – but she has already been impressed with what she has seen from her new teammates.

The Australian international, who joined the Club on Friday, could be thrust into action on Tuesday with her debut in our Champions League Round Two clash against Real Madrid.

Although she has only taken part in a few training sessions, injuries elsewhere could improve Kennedy’s chances of earning her first minutes in blue.

Speaking in a pre-match press conference ahead of the game in the Spanish capital, she hailed City’s playing style as a key factor in her decision to join the Club but also praised the ‘unreal’ technical ability of her new peers.

“I’ve respected the club for a long time and with the football that’s played here too, I was excited to be a part of that,” she declared.

“The possession-based game and style played here, I want to be able to bring and still improve as well on my composure at the back – to be able to play that style.

“My technical game is a strength and there’s some unreal technicians here. I love to play with players like that and that’s something that made me really excited to be a part of this team.”
