Pep Guardiola says he’s relishing this burst of breathtaking games in the 2023/24 fixture schedule.

City face United in the 192nd Manchester derby on Sunday and this month of March also includes appetising Premier League clashes away at Liverpool and at home to Arsenal.

In the Champions League, there’s a Round of 16 decider against FC Copenhagen and an FA Cup quarter-final encounter with Newcastle United.

Following a historic Treble in 2022/23, Guardiola is proud to be challenging again across these competitions as the business end of this season cranks into gear.

He’s excited for what’s to come, with these tentpole tussles on the horizon.

“It is so nice to have those fixtures,” said the manager.

“United then the chance to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League and then Anfield, Newcastle who will be the fourth time we play them this season to reach the semi-final of the FA Cup.

“We work so far to arrive here and live these kinds of moments. We try to do our best. These are the best.”
