Pep Guardiola has told his entire City squad to be ready to face Liverpool on Sunday.

The Blues travel to Anfield with 23 points from our first nine matches in the Premier League, with only Arsenal on 24 ahead of us.

Although Liverpool currently sit in 10th with 10 points from eight matches, Guardiola knows the threat they pose after a number of close matches and title races in recent seasons.

The boss wants all of his players, even those on the bench, to be ready should they be called upon on Sunday afternoon.

He said: “I’m not a big fan of just playing 11 players, the physicality is impossible to control and everyone needs to feel a part of it. I prefer sometimes when everyone is involved and a part of it.

“After that it depends on the players. Everyone has a chance to play, five minutes, ten minutes and I want everyone to be involved.”
