City youngster Oscar Bobb says he’s delighted to be training with the best in the world after joining Pep Guardiola’s squad for the Tour of Asia.

The 20-year-old Norwegian was a second half substitute as the City boss changed his entire outfield team in the 5-3 victory over Yokohama F. Marinos at the Japan National Stadium.

City came from two goals down to win an entertaining game against a side midway through their season and just a point off the top of the J League table.

Bobb was happy with the win and impressed on the right wing although he wants to keep pushing himself.

“It was good to get the win,” he said. “The first game back was a bit tough coming on. I can’t say that was easy because I felt it was quite tough. But I think everyone is happy to get the win and obviously get the season started.

“Against a very good team it was a good challenge and that’s who you want to play.

“I need to keep going, keep training and the opportunities will come.”

City’s next game is against Bayern Munich on Wednesday 26 July in Japan before we head to South Korea to face Atletico Madrid and UK viewers can watch both matches live on CITY+ and Recast.

Bobb is determined to make the most of the trip and has enjoyed the preseason training with the first team so far and being in Japan.

“This is the best in the world,” he added. “They’re very nice all of them and they are the best sessions you can get so I’m really happy to be here.

“I think [the reaction here] just shows how big the club is. Literally thousands of fans, and so many outside the hotel. The people are so nice, it’s a great country.”
