Clough on City, Maine Road and facing Pep Guardiola

We sat down with former City forward Nigel Clough to discuss his time at the Club, what it's like to face a Pep Guardiola team and his father's managerial legacy.

After successful stints at Nottingham Forest and Liverpool, Clough joined City in 1996, going on to make 46 appearances across two seasons.

Unfortunately, his time at the Club coincided with our relegation from the Premier League, but the former striker still harbours fond memories from his time in Manchester.

Indeed, Clough reflects on the impact that the supporters had on him and his team-mates, as well as his recollections of playing for and against City at Maine Road.

During his time at Forest, Nigel played under his legendary father, Brian, and the 56-year-old draws comparisons between Clough snr. and Pep Guardiola.

Now a successful manager with over 20 years of experience in the dugout, he also goes on to describe the impact that the City boss continues to have on his peers in the coaching world.

Further interesting pieces of insight can be found when Clough shares his thoughts on our recent title tussles with Liverpool, while there's also time for him to have his say on former team-mate, Paul Dickov!
