Summer signing Mateo Kovacic says he is already learning from the leadership of Pep Guardiola, describing the input and guidance from the City boss as being on ‘another level.’

The Croatian midfielder made the move to City from Chelsea earlier this summer, bringing with him a wealth of top-class experience.

But despite having only linked up with his City new team mates a fortnight ago, Kovacic says he has already felt the impact of the boss.

And speaking at Saturday’s pre-match press conference ahead of our final Asia Tour 2023 friendly against Atletico Madrid in Seoul, Korea on Sunday, Kovacic said he was excited to learn from Guardiola.

HOW TO FOLLOW OUR ASIA TOUR 2023

“I am only here for two weeks now but you can see straight away that he has clear ideas of what he is looking for,” Kovacic declared.

“It is on another level. I came here to learn, and I think he is the best coach in the world. And to learn from him is a good feeling especially for a midfielder.

“He can teach me the best times to move. This is also why I came here. To learn to be a better version of myself.”
